To maximize the independence of people with disabilities, so they enjoy self-directed, productive lives.

ARI serves people of all ages with all disabilities within Anne Arundel and Howard Counties in Maryland.

We provide services to enhance our Consumers’ quality of life and strengthen their support systems. All of our services are designed to help people with disabilities take part in and contribute to their communities.

AutiAm Hiring Program is now accepting applications for its Winter 2023 cohort!Autism Hiring Program Now Accepting Applications for its Winter 2023 cohort!

The Autism Hiring Program was created by the Howard County Autism Society to advance workplace neurodiversity and acceptance, connecting businesses to an untapped workforce of skilled Autistic adults and targeting jobseekers not supported by existing systems.

The ideal candidate is someone who comes to it with an open mind, is committed to their own success, and whose ultimate goal is to find and sustain meaningful employment. Other requirements:

• High school degree/GED (may have certifications, some college and/or college degree)
• Not currently receiving services from DDA, DORS, an agency, or employment specialist/counselor
• Able to attend weekly peer group and 1:1 sessions independently with our staff virtually and in person
• Responsive to requests from our staff to schedule meetings, coaching sessions, interviews, trainings

The program is available at no cost to candidates and employers in Central MD. Applications are due December 23, 2022. Additional instructions and information for potential candidates are included in the application. The program will begin mid-January 2023 and runs through March 2023.
