Monday, November 23rd at 2:00 p.m. to learn about a new helpdesk for Blind and Low Vision Students transitioning from high school to college or the workplace!
The IMAGE Center and partners are providing this service state-wide with a grant from the Department of Education. The transition Helpdesk is geared towards blind and low vision youth and their families and educational supports to assist them with the wide array of questions and challenges that comes with being a student moving toward educational and employment goals. The Helpdesk is available by phone, email, and Facebook to answer questions and provide advice and assistance. Students, parents, schools, and workplaces are invited to utilize the Helpdesk as they support students as they transition to the next step.
Joining us are Carlton Walker, Teacher of Blind Students, attorney and Project Manager and Hindley Williams IMAGE Center Independent Living Specialist and Project Coordinator for the Helpdesk.
